I am never surprised at how when women are financially successful, everyone benefits, including their communities.

Recently Colorado Women of Influence held an Influence After Hours event at Ellis Ranch Event Center & Wedding Park. Roxie Ellis said, "Ann, this is my treat - I love having our Members come to the Ranch." I told her, "Roxie, I've already collected $25 from each person here. Shall we make a donation in your name to your favorite non-profit?" I knew Roxie had been instrumental in starting several non-profits (Front Range Exceptional Equestrians, Alternative To Violence to name a few) and I couldn't wait to hear where her heart was this time: "Angel House." A few days later, Annmarie Arbo, Executive Director, joined us at the Ranch and I presented her with a check on behalf of Ellis Ranch and CWOI. Angel House is a charming little Victorian house in Loveland where homeless families can come to get back on their feet economically, and become self-sufficient once again.

Just a week later CWOI had an Influential Introduction for Dr. Amy Jackson (Jackson Fisk Body & Soul). We heard Alice Ashmore speak with great passion about her role as Development Director for NCAP (Northern Colorado Aids Project). We were so moved by how much she cared for her clients, we asked, "How can we support you?" Alice said, "Come to our NCAP luncheon." Immediately CWOI members Ann Clarke, Dr. Amy Jackson and Dixie Daly said, "I'll sponsor a table!" The day of the event we brought 30 colleagues & friends, had helped promote the event, and of course wrote out checks to show our support of the NCAP projects. We joined 180 other people to learn about NCAP and its role in Northern Colorado.

Here's what CWOI Member Louise Creager said about the event: "Thanks Ann for getting us involved in our member's causes! It's an added bonus for us to learn more about our community and to be able to participate and bring awareness to all."

What is Colorado Women of Influence, LLC?

To continue my lifelong mission to help women be successful in business, in January I launched Colorado Women of Influence. Today CWOI is a fast-growing (75 members), membership-by-referral-only organization for highly successful women in business.

If you are interested in this new women's business organization, click on the Colo Women of Influence tab on the left. Read our Vision and the Are You Qualified section. If you meet the qualifications, look at our Membership list. If you know a Member, feel free to contact her and say, "I'm interested in CWOI. Would you consider nominating me for Membership?" The Member will fill out a nomination form which she will then submit to our Advisory Council. Upon the Advisory Council's approval, you will be invited to attend an event. Then you can decide if CWOI is a good fit for you.

Once you come to one of our events you will understand why so many high-profile women are joining this brand new organization!
