Maryjo Faith Morgan writes, "I've been new to
an area plenty of times and have welcomed networking to find work and make new
friends, so I want to introduce you to Deanna Maxwell. I met her
and her husband Greg, works with a friend of mine at CSU, over the
holidays.Deanna has just become a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT). She
and Greg are selling their house in Castle Rock and moving here; Greg is
already working in Fort Collins.I thought that since you are either a
veterinary medicine professional or a horsewoman, you might be able to connect
Deanna with people, message boards or veterinary medicine providers who might
be interested in hiring her.
Deanna has experience in emergency services, and prefers working
with large animals, although she has worked with a fair share of household
pets. Please feel free to pass this on to anyone in your circle who might be
"in the know" and could perhaps use Deanna's services.
If you have any suggestions as to where Deanna might find work or
make connections, I am certain she'd like to hear from you!Hoping your New Year
is filled with health, wealth, and a few fun surprises,Mj"

Ava Diamond, national speaker and author of "Great Quotes from Feisty Women" is looking for a few more people to interview for her book, "Is Your BUT Too Big?"
She is interviewing people who have overcome obstacles in their lives, or have "beat the odds" and become successful. She has done over 20 interviews so far, and is looking for people globally (not in CO). She'd like to use our "seven degrees of separation" to connect to folks to interview. If you have a connection to any Oscar, Emmy, or Grammy winners, famous people who have overcome obstacles, or people who have started from "nothing" and have uber-successful businesses, please let her know. 970-224-3015; ava@avadiamond.com
Laurie Taylor (Flashpoint) shared this tip to prevent check fraud. My retired-cop husband says YES it's a good idea: If you pay your bills by check you will want to watch this video. This blew me away.... I'm getting a Uniball 207 pen! Wal-Mart and Office Depot have them. They are marked "Helps Prevent Check Fraud" on the packaging.
Heidi Olinger (Pretty Brainy) says, "This week we celebrate one year of being a corporation. But the big news is that Pretty Brainy is now a registered trademark with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of our first year of accomplishments. We are enjoying the media coverage we received this week! Steamboat's morning show, "Steamboat Today," invited me to be a guest on yesterday's program, and the Sunday business section of the Steamboat Pilot featured Pretty Brainy on page 1! Pretty Brainy is expanding how the world sees the capabilities of girls. And how girls see what they can accomplish in the world.

Diana McKinney writes,
"Ann, this information is for anyone getting married or knows someone who
is. On March 7, 2010, a bridal crawl will be held in Estes
Park. It is an easy way for brides and their entourage to visit five to
ten venues in one day without having to worry about driving. The brides
hop on a bus that takes them to each venue where they will have a short tour
before heading to the next venue. A tour guide on the bus provides additional
information and answers questions. For more information they can visit www.estesparkweddings.com/bridalcrawl.
Thanks, Diana"
