GR8 Ideas At Work, LLC

Fourteen of us came together Friday, July 10th at Creekside Condos. Friday was a treat in so many ways, with Joan King preparing a delicious dinner and Deanne Mulvihille endulging us with Arbonne Spa Treatments. Wonderful conversations in the hot tubs, excellent wine (another treat, thanks to Roxie Ellis). At midnight, Joan prepared Bananas Foster in celebration (#1) of Adrienne's birthday.

 

Saturday morning Monica, Debbie & Kris prepared delicious quiche and spelt blueberry muffins. We had to wake up Lori, Joan and Peggy to join us - they slept next to the roaring stream.

 

Saturday brought different adventures for each of us: some went shopping, some went hiking, some went to the Stanley and some simply relaxed by the stream or hit the hot tub once more. Joan prepared a wonderful gazpacho & cold cut lunch so each person could eat at their leisure.

 

Saturday night was another feast, with Kris preparing curry grilled shrimp & vegetables. We celebrated Adrienne's birthday (again) with key lime cake. The evening was filled with fun dice games, "eerily accurate" readings with Katherine Skagg's Tarot cards, and a multitude of stumulating conversations, all peppered with laugher.  

 

At Sunday breakfast we began to say our goodbyes as some left to catch church at home and some left to hit the hills for one more hike. All in all it was an amazing weekend. Good friends drew closer and acquantances became friends. Most important of all: we celebrated all that we had in common: intregrity, a drive to succeed, and unyielding support for each other.
