We LOVE our Influential Introduction Business Events!

Even though Colorado Women of Influence is not a "networking" or "leads" group, we still want to know about our Members' businesses. "You do business with people you know" is especially true among women! We don't just chat, we do research when we talk to each other! At Colorado Women of Influence an Influential Introduction is another way we can support each other.

While our larger Influence After Hours events are high energy and fun, these smaller, more intimate events will help build connections with each other. Our Influential Introductions are exclusive to Colorado Women of Influence. They are a wonderful benefit of membership!

The purpose of this Influential Introduction
    ·    Showcase a Member's place of business
    ·    Learn about the products or services of the Member and those who attend
    ·    Determine ways we can support each other

We meet at the hostess' place of business (or at one of the Front Range Business Center Board Rooms if she prefers). The hostess furnishes light refreshments. We do a bit of informal networking, then the event begins with an introduction and explanation of how the Influential Introduction will flow. The hostess takes the spotlight to showcase her business and then each of the participants has an opportunity to talk about their businesses.

Influential Introductions tend to be very dynamic. Unlike formal leads groups, each Ix2 will draw a different audience, depending on the business of the hostess. For instance, a Realtor might have guests who are interior designers, landscapers, carpet cleaners, pet sitters or home security services. But a naturopthic doctor would have guests who are interested in a healthy lifestyle, diet & exercise, massage therapists, rolfers, or organic gardening. A graphic designer's guests might be people who need her services and want to find out more about her, or they might be printers or web designers looking for collaboration. Each IX2 is different; each IX2 is WONDERFUL!

We are proud to welcome Front Range Business Centers LLC as a Strategic Partner for our Influential Introductions. A Member whose office will not accommodate 12 people but would like to host an Influential Introduction can contact Sandra Greer to arrange the use of either the Loveland or Ft. Collins FRBC board room. Call Sandra at 970-232-3100 for available dates.

We had SO MUCH FUN at Monica Graham's Carpet Network in Loveland for our first Influential Introduction on Thursday, June 18th.

We learned a bit more about Carpet Network but we also learned more about each of the other ladies' businesses as well.
We sponsor at least two Influential Introductions each month. Contact Ann to get your business on the schedule.

Our first Members-Only GIRLFRIEND GETAWAY
in Estes Park was wonderful!

Fourteen of us gathered in Estes Park for a CWOI GIRLFRIEND GETAWAY! Our two condos with hot tubs were right next to the roaring river, and the weather was perfect. Joan King, Kris Boesch and Monica Graham said, "I'm cooking!" Deanne Mulvihill said, "I'm giving everyone an Arbonne Spa Treatment!" Roxie Ellis said, "I'll bring the wine!" We hiked, shopped, talked and  relaxed in beautiful Estes Park!

We LOVED our first
"PJs & Popcorn Movie Night"

What fun we had at MyHDTV on Saturday, May 30th!

We watched Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood on MyHDTV's spectacular big screen projection unit. It was pop, popcorn and lots of chocolate & wine! It was an evening of girlfriend fun, sponsored by Debbie Davis and MyHDTV. We plan MORE movie nights throughout the year!

Girlfriends & Wine: We LOVED Our first WINE TASTING

Debby Davis sponsored our first Social Event, a Wine Tasting at Vintages.

(R to L) Lee Porter (Trebuchet Group), Dr. Lori Ann Perrin (psychologist), Jennifer Snyder (EmbroidMe), Dixie Daly (Tickled Pink Boutique), Debbie Davis, Adrienne Zoble (speaker/consultant) and I sampled a lovely selection of Vintages' hand-crafted wines (made without sulfides) as Paul our sommelier extolled the virtues of each sampling.

After the sampling we had the fun of actually bottling batches of wine! This was a wonderful experience, filled with laughter. Very little skill was involved, I assure you, except perhaps to make sure the label is on straight! We plan to have MORE wine tastings throughout 2009!

We loved our TAILGATE PARTY with the COLORADO FORCE Women's Soccer!

On Wednesday, May 27th  we cheered the Force in their home opener.

The Colorado Force is is our very own women's professional soccer team. CEO Amy Snider explains, "The Force is a premier women's soccer team heading into its 14th season. The Force competes with 37 teams in a Pro-am league, and is home to collegiate, post-collegiate, National Team, and former professional players. The Force Women's Soccer Team offers programs for players and teams of all age and skill level."  AND GR8 role models for your daughters!

CWOI enthusiastically supports ALL women in business, and we are thrilled to support women athletes. How exciting to have a career and make a living doing a sport you love!

CWOI was proud to sponsor ten members of the Loveland Boys & Girls Club to attend the Tailgate and the game. Angie, one of the chaperones laughed and said they got as much exercise as the team did, running & playing in the grass. I spoke to the grandmother of one of the B&GC kids, and she talked about how her granddaughter’s family was “all torn up right now” with a divorce and job loss. The mom was working at night at a convenience store, while grandma babysat. The little girl was 7 – “almost 8” – and absolutely adored the players. “They’re so tall and beautiful…” While she spent a lot of time playing with her B&GC friends, she also spent a lot of time watching the game next to her grandma. I can’t imagine what was going through her mind. It just goes to show that your players may not realize the effect they have on people – especially young girls who are at a vulnerable time in their lives. GO COLORADO FORCE!
